Arrival in Spain

Tuesday 12 July 2016 Arrival in Spain.

I arrived last night in La Coruna, on the NW corner of Spain. The Biscay crossing was, um, challenging. I’ll write a more detailed post shortly but for now I have things to do as you can imagine. Stay tuned.

  1. Dear James,

A tip for your continuing voyage. Apart from looking for weather windows I would strongly recommend starting a leg when the there is half a waxing moon.
This will give you near daylight conditions around the clock … incidentally, I tended to ignore weather forecasts, believing that on a journey of over a week you have to learn to take whatever you meet and become an “all weather yachtsman”. But avoid Hurricane zones!
