Atlantic Crossed

I arrived in Barbados this morning. The Atlantic crossing took three weeks and was rougher than expected. I’ll write a proper article about it in the coming days and find some broadband internet access so I can include some photos with it as well as adding some to the posts I made while at sea. But for the time being I can report that all is well aboard. Moonrise is anchored off a white sandy beach with palm trees swaying gently in the . . . no, wait a moment, they’re not. They’re thrashing about in the gale but they are there, the water is blue, the sun is hot, and I’m looking forward to my first uninterrupted night’s sleep for three weeks.
Stay tuned for more details . . .

  1. Well done and I would strongly recommend that you make Prickly Bay, Grenada your next stop … Ian

    • Thanks Ian. Prickly Bay certainly is on the list but I’m going north first, then south, so I’ll go there later in the season. Is there anywhere else you particularly recommend?

  2. James that is amazing news. Congratulations!!! Enjoy your sleep and the view. Looking forward to hearing more…
